Classes

Check out these offerings to see what interests you. I guarantee you'll learn a ton and have a great time doing it.

Each class has a  minimum of 2 people, and 5 is the maximum . It's a smallish space, and I like to give lots and lots of personalized instruction. 

Let me know if you're interested in a class. You can either get some friends together, or I can get others to join us. You're gonna love it!

This class offers 8+ hours of learning terminology, cutting techniques, proper adhesives, grouting and design. You'll have a great time and leave with a finished 8" x 8" mosaic. You can create a simple design of your choosing, or I have some ideas ready for you as well.

Classes are held in two sessions if it's held on a weekend or weekday. I also offer three shorter sessions if you prefer a weeknight class. You will need to bring a lunch or snack, but I I'll provide you some munchies and beverages too.

$125.00 for the whole class. Includes all materials, tools, printed materials and tips and techniques gained from many years of being a mosaic artist.

This is very fun class explores using alcohol inks to make one-of-a-kind designs. It's great for kids and adults. You'll spend a few hours creating these and then you'll cover them with epoxy resin to give them a very long life-span. You can come get them after the resin has cured. They make great gifts!

$45.00 for the class. Includes all materials, tools, finishing products and the knowledge floating around in my head.

Here's another fun, fairly quick class. Come learn to create these little beauties that can be used in your garden or in your water feature year-round. You'll learn cutting techniques, incorporating ball chain into your designs and more. Leave with a finished product!

 $60.00 for the class. Includes all materials, tools, finishing products and the knowledge floating around in my head. 

Apoxy Sculpt is an amazing product that can be used for all kinds of things. In this class, we'll use it as an adhesive and grout, all in one. It enables you to embed all kinds of tesserae (your glass beads, etc.) into it. The possibilities are endless. The amount of time this class takes totally depends on the person. Most folks will need two sessions to finish, because we'll be using small pieces, but there's a possibility you can do it in one day. 

 $90.00 for the class. Includes all materials, tools, beads, gloves and the knowledge floating around in my head.  

In this class you will learn how to create a unique mosaic stained glass window. We will focus on design, andamento (the way the tesserae is laid out) and inclusion of other materials. This class is an intermediate class. Taking my Introduction to Mosaics first would be helpful, but it's not essential.

$150.00 for the whole class. Includes all materials, tools, printed materials and tips and techniques gained from many years of being a mosaic artist. 

Expect this class to take at least three sessions, and there may be homework
